Ongoing support for EBRD

For 9 years weebrd logo have provided support to the Sustainability team at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on a range of labour related and social issues. This has included providing particular advice on defined projects, project risk assessment,  including carrying out site visits and assessments, facilitation of internal meetings and external contact with stakeholders, producing internal guidance and tools and developing and implementing internal training.

We have also supported EBRD in policy development and have also produced a range of guidance materials and other documents, an example of which is the guidance note on Family Friendly Working.

Countries we have worked in with EBRD include: Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Albania, Croatia, Turkey and Kazakhstan.

Policy development and implementation

Developing a complaints mechanism for the London Olympics 2012

Ergon developed a process to deal with complaints about potential breaches of London 2012’s Sustainable Sourcing Code by contractors and suppliers. This is based on the Ruggie Principles and followed extensive stakeholder engagement. Click here for more information

Ergon is commissioned by a major brands and retailers to review their responsible sourcing programmes in order to help them identify labour risks, their strength and, weaknesses and areas for improvement, including comparison with peer companies and best practice standards. Strategy implementation within development finance
