Brett Dodge

Brett has a background in human rights law, international labour standards and corporate responsibility. Before joining Ergon in 2011, he worked as a human rights and labour standards specialist for a human rights risk advisory firm and previously worked at human rights organisations in the UK and abroad.

He has experience and expertise in the areas of business and human rights, labour policy, and socially responsible investment with particular knowledge of the Americas region. Brett contributes research on global trends in decent work policy to Ergon projects.

His interests include labour rights protection in international trade, investment and project finance and also the operationalisation of human/labour rights due diligence in line with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

Brett has an LLM (master of laws) in International Human Rights from the University of Essex (UK) and a BA from the University of North Carolina (Asheville, USA).
