Matthew Waller

Matthew joined Ergon in 2015. He has worked with Anti-Slavery International in Punjab, India on issues including bonded labour, freedom of association, caste and gender discrimination, and migration. He has contributed to developing a conflict sensitive employment framework for the private sector whilst volunteering with International Alert and has experience of working in local government and the retail sector.

Matthew has a particular interest in South Asia and his primary professional interests include:

- Modern slavery and forced labour

- Labour standards in informal economies

- Rights of migrant workers

- Human rights abuses in global supply chains

- Discrimination in employment

Matthew has a Masters degree (MA) in Human Rights from University College London, and Bachelors degree (BA) in Politics and Modern History from the University of Manchester.
