Director - Policy
Stuart is a co-founder of Ergon and has more than 20 years experience in project management, corporate responsibility research, strategic consulting, policy advice, responsible investment and corporate governance analysis.
At Ergon, he takes a particular interest in:
* assessing management processes for delivering improvement in working conditions,
- * the development of key performance indicators on labour standards issues
- * the implementation of decent work through value chains,
- * corporate reporting on labour issues.
He has consulted to major international institutions and private sector companies, and has delivered projects in South Africa, Bangladesh, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Recently he managed a major feasibility study looking at labour rights within the electronics manufacturing value chain.
Prior to Ergon, he was Research Director at Pensions & Investment Research Consultants (PIRC) managing information and proxy voting services for global institutional investors on responsible investment and corporate governance. He started his career as a Researcher at the UK Anti-Apartheid Movement.
He has recently if belatedly completed an MA in Early Modern History focusing on corporate irresponsibility in the early eighteenth century.
